How do I get started?
Simply call the office at 859-525-2020 to set up an appointment time that
works for you. We will send you a health history questionnaire to be
completed before our first visit or you can fill it out at the office
just prior to our meeting. (Download health history here to print out??)
When we meet, we will discuss your health, past and present, your current
goals, as well as any health concerns you may have.
Will there be any testing involved?
In office, we will do a saliva pH test, mineral absorption screening,
and the Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA). BIA is a simple,
non-invasive test which utilizes sophisticated technology
to accurately determine
body composition (muscle mass & body fat), fluid distribution,
and cellular health. The test provides baseline and comparison data
to track
progress and appropriately monitor dietary and supplement changes.
(Learn more about the BIA link?).
For more detailed analysis, we use Great Smokies Diagnostic Laboratory
(GSDL). They provide a number of tests including comprehensive digestive
stool analysis, allergy testing, hormone/menopause profiles, comprehensive
cardiovascular panels, and heavy metal analysis. GSDL also has several
genomic profiles which analyze your specific potential genetic susceptibility
to a number of conditions.
Will I have to fill out additional paperwork?
Depending on your goals and concerns, you will be given additional paperwork.
You may be asked to complete an elimination assessment, dysbiosis questionnaire,
and health appraisal questionnaire, among others. You will also fill
out a diet and activity report which details what you eat, any exercise,
and relaxation for a week. For some individuals, the diet and activity
reports may be filled out on an ongoing basis.
Phone consultations are also available. For those who are located outside of the greater Cincinnati area, we have established a toll-free number. Please call us at 1-888-881-5824.
